I am a postdoctoral scholar with Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I have a PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, where I was mentored by Carter T. Butts. I grew up near Mobile, Alabama, referred to by a friend as a “junior New Orleans with better beaches.”
My wife Stephanie and I enjoy hiking and camping on federal lands, exploring cities, and taking the train. We have two sons, Joseph and Oliver, and a cat named Penelope.
